DC3 N18121 arrived in Reykjavik, Iceland just a little after 5pm local (GMT /UTC time) May 28. Another day of gorgeous weather! Highlights of the passage from Narsarsuaq, Greenland to Reykjavik, Iceland included the departure along the fjord leading out of Narsarsuaq and then climbing to an altitude to allow the eastward crossing of the southern end of Greenland over a portion of the vast ice cap. A spectacular sight!
After arrival in Reykjavik we cleared immigration and customs, checked and secured the aircraft, and headed for our hotel (CenterHotel Midgardur) and headed out for dinner.
We will be in Reykjavik until Thursday, May 30.
We will have time while here to do some catch up work on the blog and report more about the previous days experiences in Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Narsarsuaq, Greenland (including additional media).
Thanks for checking in on our progress!
Bill,
We just landed in Anchorage after departing Tel Aviv early Tuesday Morning? I think we passed you over Greenland while returning. I can’t imagine how great it must be to be on your trip. Keep the photos and blog coming.
CAVU all the way Caen!
